Most state rely on paper bureaucracy to ensure that the state can function and provide services. Paper bureaucracy has been part and parcel of how we maintain states and corporations since the Chinese invented the first paper bureaucracy systems of management 3000 years ago.
But as you all probably know, bureaucracy kinda sucks. It costs a lot to maintain, and in the worst cases bureaucracy can turn a state into a labyrinthian monstrosity that can be near to impossible to navigate.

Turkish people STARTED MARRYING MONGOL WOMEN in order to establish blood ties with CENGIZ KHAN, who lived in the 13th century and gained great respect from the Turkish people during his time and even in the following centuries. THIS SITUATION TURNED INTO A TRADITION THAT CONTINUED THROUGH THE CENTURIES. THIS IS WHY SOME OF THE PEOPLE OF THE TURKISH STATES IN CENTRAL ASIA HAVE FAR EAST ASIAN LOOKING EYES SHAPES TODAY. One of the facts noticed by archaeologists and genetic researchers working on Turkish history is that when they examined the bones taken from all Turkish graves dating back to the 13th century, they revealed that they looked COMPLETELY LIKE A CAUCASIAN WHITE PEOPLE. FOR EXAMPLE: CUMAN TURKS WAS CONTROLED ALL OF WESTERN EURASIA STEPPES MANY DECADES CUMAN MEANING IN TURKISH ''PALE SKIN AND BLOND HAIR '' THEIR WERE BLOND HAIR COLORED EYES SUCH AS TODAY SO MANY TURKISH PEOPLES ARE BLOND AND ALMOST ALL TURKISH PEOPLES EYES IS GREEN, BLUE OR HAZEL GREENISH EYES! YOU CANT FIND HAZEL GREEN OR BLUE EYES ON ASIATIC NATIONS! THE RED CAVE RUINS AND LOULAN MUMMIES ARE THE BEST EXAMPLES OF THIS REALITY. Finally, TORCHARIANS*, EFTALITIS, YUEZI,TUEZİ... CONTRAYER TO THE IMPLICATIONS OF SOME RUclips FAKE HISTORIANS, ALL OF THESE COMMUNITIES WERE TURKIC PEOPLE. IN fact, ALL THE SKYTHIAN RULER FAMILIES AND A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE POPULATION WERE NOMAD TURKISH PEOPLE. ''* THERE WAS A PEOPLE CALLED TORKAR AND THEY LIVED IN THE HOMELAND OF TODAY'S TURKS. "THE OWNER OF EVERY RUIN AND ARTIFACT FOUND IN THAT REGION TODAY IS THE TORKARIAN PEOPLE." THIS IS THE MOST DISGRACEFUL AND RACIST STATEMENT IN THE WORLD! THIS IS A STUPID AND RACIST STATEMENT JUST AS SENTENCE AS "THERE ARE NO GREEKS, IN FACT, ALL THE RUINS FOUND BELONG TO THE "PREEK'S PEOPLE"!

I always see Realists talk about the national interest, as if it was something well defined. Sometimes, there might be a consensus what he national interest is, but generally there isn't. So, in the end end the "national interest" is what the the current government considers to be the national interest. So, the US thought it would be in its national interest to intervene in Iraq, or to send troops to Vietnam. The Austrian empire thought it would be in its national interest to invade Serbia, but in 1918, the ustrian Empire was gone.

(am estonian) very interesting and id say pretty true to life video! 🤔 i cant say i know for sure the accuracy of all facts in this, as I only became like. aware of many of these things things around about 2012-2014 or something. but if the years of all the implementations are correct, it definitely wasn't like a click and done deal that everyone had access to these services and all paperwork was eliminated (which was never said in the video ofc and most ppl prob wouldn't assume that but. wanted to clarify still), like another person said, good to add like 5+ years to each implementation to when it actually became used countrywide, and of course city areas took them into use much earlier than rural areas. though I can attest that in like 2010something at the very least I was learning to use word and scratch on flatscreen computers in computer class on my little island school lmao(Tiger jump <3 <3 <3), and we had at least a Few smartboards(chalkboards persist to this day in part tho bc if it ain't broke yknow, though most classrooms have both nowadays i think) i do want to bring up that this very speedy tech development, while doing a great job at educating the youngest to use all these systems, the rapid development has, at least in my experience, with working in libraries/community centers, and seeing my parents age, left behind the older generations... it gets harder to learn new systems and methods as people age and with how rapidly tech improves and iterates(great!) it does change incredibly fast and way too fast to learn properly(not great...) esp for people who grew up on the paper system of the soviet occupation time. Maybe I'm unaware of them but to my knowledge there is definitely not as much of an initiative to educate older people, especially pensioners, on the systems that manage most of their banking, shopping and documentation... it is usually left to younger family members or social/community workers, which is kind of unfortunate to me... most important systems maintain some kind of paper or at least non-smartphone mobile based verification system but they have been phasing out for years now since maintaining both is more work. idk maybe I'm kind of just complaining now but i think its an important aspect to think about, we have had an unprecedentedly rapid development trajectory over the nearly 35 years of reindependence, which i enjoy fully and have a lot of advantages from(i am basically fluent in both estonian and english, because i had access and curiosity for english games online from like kindergarten age, and this accessibility to online things lead me to further IT education) but as all systems it is far from perfect. despite all that i echo the sentiment of many here that it is sometimes very baffling to visit other countries with very different much more paper based and slower systems/processes to ours :D it would be a pleasure if more countries took up our implementation methinks

One problem with a state by state approach to healthcare in the US is that many state governments are explicitly disinterested in improving the lives of their residents. Look at Medicaid expansion. Free money from the federal government to insure more people, all states had to do was opt in and many refused. Cannabis legalization is only happening in many states because the government is being forced to through ballot initiatives. Our representatives are so in the pocket of corporate interests and our populace so demoralized/uninvested that any major reform is going to be next to impossible on a state level. That’s why I think it’s fine for progressives to call for universal healthcare without identifying a specific framework (though they do have frameworks they propose). We need to make up a lot of ground and get voters to the point they can even imagine the government doing something like that for them.

Not sure the significance of "Tinge" (Thing) in the viking age should be ignored. Not all norsemen went abroad plundering. Things still had to function at home as well. "Tinge" was essentially the farmers and workers of an area, voting on things that happened in their area. One man, one vote. Even women could use the "Tinge" under some circumstances. To this day, "Tinge" is still present in most nordic government names and even Isle of man has a Tinge in Tynwalde from the viking age. Think it is misleading using the Normanns as the bar for how norsemen behaved at home. The Normanns was influenced through others, that simply wasn't present in that times nordic countries.

As an Estonian, I feel it's important for me to clarify: a lot of these reforms only technically existed for a long time, they weren't actually used by more than a handful of people. Hell, several of the school related ones came before I was born and I never encountered them. I had a blackboard in my school, we were not taught programming, I hadn't even heard of those reforms before today. A lot of these reforms are still only in the capital city and maybe one or two other cities. Just because a document was signed to pass these reforms doesn't mean that the reforms are actually in full effect, sadly. Yet other reforms are all across the country, like voting and signing documents digitally.

Just a question: Did you happen to confuse Agincourt with Crécy? The French were Dismounted at Agincourt, and by the time of Agincourt the French had learned to fear the Longbow and had already started taking strides at organized militaries with the Gendarme system.
